In a mystery that may never be solved, a young female fiddler has been witnessed sharing a stage with RMG. By all accounts, Amity is probably a real girl, which is out of keeping when you are a Round Mountain Girl. But stories are circling. Rumours are rife. Is Amity the true Queen of Round Mountain? Has she possessed a helpless young girl and emerged from the village of Bogangar to collect her virgin sacrifices? Is she real?
By all reports, Amity was once part of a quartet of talented musicians, but she came to RMG on her own, which makes her only a quarter of a musician; having to play a tiny fiddle and stand on a chair.
There have been rumours that in her past life, Amity was an impersonator of Bindi Irwin, lived in a lake in Switzerland, and spent her nights โon the airโ interviewing politicians (so she had to breathe a great deal).
Today (when not possessed by the RMG Queen) Amity mostly drives a tractor, which makes travel pretty slow and as a nut grower, she fits right in with the rest of the girls- the band has always ‘contained traces of nuts’.
We will probably never know if the Queen of Round Mountain has come down from on high, reincarnated to join the boys of RMG. But today she’ll play for you…and them… sweet notes of mystery.
