RMG In Deep Doo Doo Over Weather and Backstage Brawl

Round Mountain Girls Accused Of Inciting Extreme Weather Events by Bureau Of Meteorology

The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) has launched an investigation into the practices of the Round Mountain Girls after a member of the band posted a message on the Gympie Muster Facebook page. It is also suspected that the band has a direct connection via ADSL to God, and that they have been using this to influence weather patterns at some of the nation's major festivals.

Christophe Banjovi, singer and banjo player with the six piece, complained that there wasn't enough mud at this year's festival. He stated that he has attended many festivals in his long musical career and that the mud quantities at Glastonbury and The Somme Music Festival in France are much more abundant. The band also attended a festival at Caloundra last year in which the main stage had to be closed down due to high winds and torrential rain. This followed on from an appearance at Woodford Folk Festival which also suffered extreme weather and flooding.

The BOM Investigation Team (BOMIT) seized computers from RMG HQ in a dawn raid whilst the band slept off post festival hangovers. In addition, large quantities of umbrellas and gum boots as well as a pink poncho were taken away for analysis. It has already been admitted that Banjovi had previously clicked the ‘like' button on Gods Facebook page.

If found guilty of inciting extreme weather conditions, the band could very well find themselves in deep water.

Round Mountain Girls Accused of Inciting Backstage Brawl at Gympie Muster

In what has already been a traumatic week for the Round Mountain Girls more controversy now surrounds them. Not only are they being investigated for conspiring with God to make festivals wetter, but they have been accused of instigating a backstage brawl in the Gympie Muster Artists Area after an altercation with the punkbluescountry outfit, The Snowdroppers.

According to a reliable source, who wished to remain anonymous, the fight started when Wishbone (lead singer and banjo player with the Snowdroppers) took exception to a T-shirt Banjovi was wearing which appeared to poke fun at banjo players. Mr J Williamson then went onto say that Mr Banjovi picked up a pool ball triangle and brandished it whilst chanting "Come and have a go if yer think yer ‘ard enough". The Snowdroppers allegedly armed themselves with pool cues and hard balls and got stuck in. The fight was broken up by handbag wielding tough girls Kirsty Lee Akers and Beccy Cole who suffered only minor abrasions for their troubles. Meanwhile Troy Cassar- Daly was found hiding behind the tea trolley, stating later on that he had dropped his Tim-Tam and was trying to retrieve it. He claimed he was unaware of the commotion going on around him.

Mr. Banjovi is due to appear in Gympie Crown Court on Monday charged with "Libel Likely to Cause a Country Blue". He is likely to plead insanity due to lack of suspenders.
