One-Off Newcastle Gig
We had to look hard on a map to find it, but apparently Newcastle is in Australia! RMG are making their first foray down South in September to promote the new album and will be playing at one of the coolest venues on the East coast. Tickets are sold out already. Hope to see you there.
ALBUM UNDER CONSTRUCTION - HARD HAT AREA The songs are written (nearly). Brooker is furiously polishing his instrument whilst Willy B is still trying to find his. Banjovi is frantically trying to get the knots out of his hair and there is a general buzz of excitement at RMG HQ. There’s just one more gig to go before the band heads into 301 studios, under the watchful ear of Anthony Lycenko, to record the new album. Lycenko has produced albums for some of Australia’s top acts such as Pete Murray and Xavier Rudd. Having attended a band rehearsal a few weeks ago, he fell in love with the vibrancy of the music and was even spotted dozy doe-ing with a telegraph pole as he left the premises – a sure sign that he’s been bitten by RMG-itis.
Brad de Railed spoke to us about his unbridled optimism about the venture. “This one will make us international superstars”, he told us. “I’m looking forward to never having to work again and being able to choose whether to take the Aston or the Ferrari to the shops to get the milk”. Rabbit said he would probably buy a new kettle. ..
Willy B has had his beloved 1974 Fender Jazz bas stolen from his house. He bought it from new and they’ve been making music together for 36 years. Please keep your eyes and ears open. We’d love to see the pair of them re-united. ..
