Well what a year…we recorded a new album, launched it at Bluesfest and Port Fairy, received a second Golden Fiddle Award at Tamworth for Best Band, won two song writing awards for Big Man's Dreams and The Watch at The Dolphin Awards, became finalists at The MusicOZ Awards for Hurting No One, Big Man's Dreams and Getting There is Only Halfway Back and toured the East Coast making lots of new friends and catching up with lots of fans that we consider old friends. This job isn't always the easiest, but it is the most gratifying…mainly due to the people you meet!
In Other News…
Phil from Townsville sent us a photo of his new racehorse which he has named Round Mountain Gal. Apparently the racing authorities have a strict limit on the number of letters a racehorse can have and 'Girl' made it one too many. Obviously we're highly honoured to have another fluffy animal named after us (Round Mountain Boy is a resident female koala on the new Bluesfest site – named by the monitoring team), and we will following RM Gal's career with interest…who knows, she might make us rich!
Next Year
We've got a really exciting start to the year and already have some massive festivals lined up starting with:-
Tamworth in January
The Entrance in March
National Folk Festival and Bluesfest in April
Wintermoon in May
Pretty cool huh!
Without you guys we couldn't do it. We'd still make music but without your bouncy, smiley faces in the audience it just wouldn't be the same…so thank you from the very bottom of our G strings.
Have a very merry xmas and a very happy and prosperous new year and hope to catch ya at a show next year.
Love ya,
Banjovi
